The National Patron of the Nigeria Entrepreneurship Youth Initiative (N.E.Y.I) and visionary Founder of the Kayode Adamolekun Foundation (KAF), Engr. Kayode Adamolekun, has announced a powerful initiative to equip young students with digital entrepreneurial skills as a preventive and empowering strategy against drug abuse.

Speaking at the Live Free Project 4.0 held on Saturday, May 10, 2025, in Aisegba-Ekiti, Ekiti State, he declared that the Drug-Free Club members of Aisegba Community Grammar School would be fully sponsored by KAF for a practical tech-driven entrepreneurial skills training.

“I want to see more of Aisegba children become great people in life. We need to put this community on the world map,” he said.
“To this end, we will be sponsoring members of the Drug-Free Club in secondary schools in two key digital skills, including coding. It will be 100 percent sponsorship. This is going to make them relevant in the technology-driven economy and enable them to compete effectively on the global stage.”

He also directed the renewal of KAF’s weekly radio program to increase awareness on drug abuse prevention and promote a drug-free lifestyle. Engr. Adamolekun encouraged youths to stay off drugs, stating that “only people with sound minds can achieve greatness in life.”

NEYI President: “We Can’t Wait to Kickstart This Transformation”

Also speaking at the event, the President of NEYI, Mr. Diligent (Adefisoye Adeshola), expressed deep gratitude for the bold initiative of the National Patron, describing it as a milestone in NEYI’s mission to drive youth empowerment through technology and entrepreneurship.

“This initiative will have a lasting impact on these students, especially at their current stage as secondary school students. We have trained thousands of youths and students across Nigeria in entrepreneurial digital skills, and we are more than ready to facilitate this training program.”

Mr. Diligent explained that the students will be trained in the following areas:

  • Low/No-Code Artificial Intelligence for Building Websites and Apps

  • Prompt Engineering in Artificial Intelligence Technology

  • Creating Software Solutions for Community, State, National, and African Problems

  • Digital Marketing for Entrepreneurs

  • Vocational Skills Integration with Entrepreneurial Thinking

  • Cybersecurity Education and Responsible Tech Use

“We are not just offering training—we are guiding students to build tangible, usable digital products. They will understand how technology can solve real problems, from Aisegba to the global stage. Even the bank apps we use today were built by Nigerian minds—this is their chance to do the same,” he said.

He added that the inclusion of Prompt Engineering in AI will give students a valuable edge in navigating and leveraging modern tools like ChatGPT and other generative AI platforms, which are redefining every sector globally.

“We can’t wait to kickstart,” Mr. Diligent concluded with passion.
