The N.E.Y.I team as been know for years to be a voluntarily initiative that advocate for entrepreneurship development among the youths and students of Nigeria, an affiliate with the Africa largest entrepreneurship network organization, Africa’s Young Entrepreneurs, N.E.Y.I also partnered by African citizen development foundation ( ACDF )a national NGO and granted associate status at the United Nations Department of Global Communication ( UNDGC ) and special consultative status of the economic and social council ( ECOSOC ).
The purpose of the visitation and the partnership is to foster youthful entrepreneurship development focusing at the digital space and opportunities for available for the youths and students in order to give them platforms to leverage on without depending on white collar jobs after schooling or while still schooling and also not involving themselves in cybercrime that could lead them into drug abuse .
The Acting Rector, Mr Isaika Adekunle acknowledged and embraced the initiative on behalf of the institution management and also added that, what is so paramount to them as an institution is to build entrepreneurial minded youths and students that will be self-employed and as pledge their support in collaborating with Nigeria Entrepreneurship Youth Initiative ( N.E.Y.I ) in any of the youthful programs and projects they bring to the table .
This collaboration studiously involved the Students Union Government OYSCATECH led by Comrade Oladokun Oyekunle a.k.a Succulent, a vibrant and visionary youth who seat presently as the President of the Student Union Government OYSCATECH added that collaborating with N.E.Y.I will help the students more on digital entrepreneurship and also expose the institution to alot of digital opportunities in making the students financial independent legitimately.
The President Of N.E.Y.I, Adefisoye Adeshola (Mr. Diligent) who led the team also contributed by saying the collaboration will not only help in capacity building for the students but also leveraging them on platforms that will enlarge and support student entrepreneurs in their small scale businesses also making become a Job maker and not a job seeker .
