Empowering the Future: NEYI Tech Academy Scholarship Recipients Kickstart Their Tech Journey on International Youth Day
In a powerful statement aligning with International Youth Day, the President of Nigeria Entrepreneurship Youth Initiative (NEYI), Adefisoye Adeshola, also known as Mr. Diligent, has congratulated the recipients of the NEYI Tech Academy Scholarship. As part of the first cohort of this groundbreaking initiative, these young individuals have been given a golden opportunity to acquire critical tech skills through a tuition-free and acceptance-free program. This initiative aims to bridge the digital skills gap in Nigeria and empower the youth to excel in the rapidly evolving tech industry.
The scholarship recipients are reminded of the upcoming onboarding session, scheduled to take place virtually on the 14th of August via Zoom. This session will provide detailed insights into the program and set the stage for the exciting journey ahead. Adding to the celebration, the onboarding session coincides with Mr. Diligent’s birthday, a day he has chosen to make even more special by announcing a flexible payment option for the Scholarship Access Card (SAC). Recognizing the financial constraints faced by many young people, Mr. Diligent has introduced an installment payment plan, allowing applicants to make two payments of ₦2,500 each, with the balance due by the 31st of August.
“This initiative is my way of ensuring that no deserving youth is left behind due to financial challenges,” said Mr. Diligent. “Many tech courses in Nigeria cost upwards of ₦500,000, and some go into millions. But at NEYI Tech Academy, we are committed to making tech education accessible to all, providing top-tier training without the burden of hefty tuition fees.”
In addition to the scholarship, the management of NEYI Tech Academy has launched an affiliate program, offering students the opportunity to earn while they learn. By referring others in their network to the scholarship program, students can earn a 10% commission for each successful referral who purchases a Scholarship Access Card. These commissions will be paid directly into the students’ official bank accounts, providing them with a source of income as they embark on their tech journey.
